Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Cutlist you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

Cutlist is a tool that helps you plan timber frames and plinth boxes and produces a cut list from those plans. It's provided "as-is", with no warranty as to fitness for any particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying every measurement and cut before committing material.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for activity that happens on your account. Don't share your account with others — create a separate account per user. You must be at least 13 to sign up.

3. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to compromise the service, abuse the API, scrape bulk data, run security tests without coordinating with us, or use Cutlist to store unlawful content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do so.

4. Subscriptions

Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. Pricing is shown in the app at purchase. Subscriptions renew at the end of each period until cancelled. To cancel, manage your subscription in your App Store or Play Store account — that's the only way to stop auto-renewal.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies; we have no ability to issue store refunds directly.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SPJ Set Building LTD and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of Cutlist — including loss of materials, time, or income from acting on a cut list. Our total liability to you for any direct loss is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited under English law.

6. Termination

You can stop using Cutlist and delete your account at any time from inside the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or shut down the service entirely with 30 days' notice if it is no longer viable to run.

7. Privacy

Data handling is covered in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we'll notify you by email and update the "effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.

9. Contact & governing law

Cutlist is operated by SPJ Set Building LTD, United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Contact us at hello@spjsetbuilding.org.
